A Principal in TBG’s Austin office, Chris is a Pennsylvania native who has called central Texas home for fifteen years since joining TBG in 2007. He has a passion for integrating nature in the city and creating lasting, durable landscapes that celebrate local context, evoke whimsy, and help build memories for the many eclectic site users. Chris has become deeply embedded in the Austin community through a wide range of urban design and placemaking opportunities by way of local entities focused on community enhancement like the Downtown Austin Alliance, The Trail Conservancy and ASLA’s Advocacy Committee. Chris also co-leads a large design studio focused on both complex, urban and civic projects as well as rural experiential hospitality projects.
Forged in the frigid Rust Belt winters of Erie, Pennsylvania, Chris and his friends made ice trails all through the forest and, when their parents came out to join them, the group would build a bonfire in the snow and party amid the winter wonderland. A gifted juggler and table tennis player, he once manufactured bathroom stall partitions that were shipped all over the U.S.
