Mikala Fitzgerald

Mikala grew up in Kearney, Nebraska, also known as “The Heart of Nebraska.” In Kearney she would go to the lake and ride four wheelers around the yard with her cousins who doubled as neighbors, and fondly remembers the time she spent with her family. For three years beginning at the age of 14, Mikala had a job detasseling—walking up and down cornfields and pulling out tassels, like a true Nebraskan.
