Susan Cita

A landscape architect and arborist with 35-plus years of local and international experience, Susan is an integral member of TBG’s Houston office who is responsible for team coordination, design and project management. With specific expertise in construction administration and horticulture, Susan facilitates design development to ensure the use of pragmatic construction practices as well as the incorporation of plants appropriate to the project aesthetic and location. She has dedicated many years of service to beautifying the City of Houston, including serving as Houston Clean City/Keep Houston Beautiful Commissioner, and October 1 was officially designated as Susan Cita Day by Mayor Annise Parker in 2013.

Born in Des Plaines, Illinois, Susan grew up in Indianapolis and has completed 12 full marathons. She’s a prodigious philanthropist when it comes to volunteering throughout Houston, and she received the President’s Volunteer Service Award from President Obama after being secretly nominated by her friends.
