Every day, Skyline Park welcomes hundreds of Austinites and Central Texas neighbors. The park’s design reflects Austin’s natural environment and topography, gently and deliberately educating the public about sustainability and the natural world. Opened in May, the park’s attractions can be enjoyed by all visitors without charge. Some of the main elements include a Splash Eddy splash pad, community pavilion with bathrooms and outdoor sinks, zipline, stage and lawn, a larger-than-life wind sculpture, and several multi-generational play areas. The park’s different zones are connected by a through-type arch pedestrian bridge, “Mini” Penny a replica of Austin’s famous Pennybacker Bridge. The main path through the park is carved down through layers of exposed stone, emulating a riverbed, slowly waring its way into the earth.

Skyline Park is part of the Easton Park community, a Brookfield Residential urban master-planned development located 10 miles southeast of downtown Austin. The community hosts free events and programming at the park throughout the year, such as live music, food trailers, and movies in the park, connecting people to nature and accommodating multigenerational interests, creating an inclusive space for all. The park is also an incredible asset for the neighboring elementary school, which can now use the park as an extension of their smaller playground. The team dedicated this 21-acre parkland to the City of Austin, giving back the enriched natural world for all to enjoy and learn from.
