Elaine Kearney of TBG’s San Antonio Office is heading the City of Lubbock’s downtown park. The ambition is for the park to act as a “living room for all,” being that it’s the one shared space in Lubbock open to the entire community, according to Brianna Gerardi, Director of Business Development for the city.

A unique feature of the park’s plan is the city inviting residents to give their input on the three schematic designs, a testament to the city’s value of its people. Kearney believes the park will enable Lubbock’s downtown economy to grow, and Gerardi seconds this, stating it will help with workforce development.

There is currently no funding for the downtown park, but if things go as planned construction will begin some time in 2022.
