There’s lots to bark about over in Old East Dallas, which recently began construction on Crockett Dog Park. The groundbreaking ceremony on May 22nd included food and drinks to celebrate the beginning of the its development. Crockett Dog Park will attract many four-legged friends, along with bringing the community together.

The neighborhood of Old East Dallas is a historic neighborhood full of culture as well as a mix of “the old” and “the new.” Lakewood/East Dallas Advocate Magazine states that, “former District 2 park board member Jesse Morena began working with neighbors and Mayor Pro Tem Adam Medrano on the project in 2019. An initial timeline estimated completion in 2020, but it was delayed because of the coronavirus.”

What used to be only Crockett Park will soon be Crockett Dog Park, and construction is scheduled to be completed in March of 2022.
