The Houston Business Journal and the Houston Chronicle have announced the unveiling of “Park Eight Place,” a $1 billion, 70-acre mixed-use development in Houston’s Westchase area by Johnson Development. The project is set to transform the former Halliburton campus into a pedestrian-friendly district and will feature 2 million square feet of space, including retail, offices, restaurants, residential units, and a hotel.

Bringing a fresh approach to Houston’s dynamic lifestyle scene, Park Eight fuses sustainability, wellness, and convenience in a way that balances value with excitement. Located at the intersection of Beltway 8 and Bellaire Boulevard, in the heart of Asiatown, this mixed-use development offers diverse residential options, catering to every stage of life—from young professionals to active retirees.

As Houston’s first net-zero office and commercial space, Park Eight is designed to reduce the environmental impact of typical office buildings, featuring flexible outdoor workspaces that embrace natural elements. While it blends seamlessly into the fabric of a vibrant neighborhood, the development is also well-connected to major destinations like the Galleria, Energy Corridor, Katy, Sugar Land, and Downtown Houston.

In addition to its urban accessibility, Park Eight provides a gateway to outdoor experiences through nearby Brays Bayou Trail and Arthur Storey Park, allowing residents and visitors alike to enjoy fresh-air adventures in an urban setting. Park Eight is more than just a place to live or work—it’s a community built for balanced living.

Construction is expected to begin in 2025.
