PlayGrand Adventures wins Park Design Excellence Award

We’re excited to share that PlayGrand Adventures in Grand Prairie, Texas has won the Park Design Excellence Award (Class I) from the Texas Recreation and Park Society (TRAPS) 2020 North Region Awards!

PlayGrand Adventures is an 11-acre, universally accessible playground. This whimsical and colorful play area includes a variety of distinctive features. Progressing through the site on the meandering main pathway, zones transition from a more naturalistic character into adventure zones with high-intensity play equipment, a sports zone, a musical area, and lake zone with small dock and pedestrian bridge spanning Warrior Creek, an exploration zone and an adventure hill with climbing opportunities.

The Park Design Excellence Award recognizes a park development project which displays a high degree of professional design quality and recreation usage and to encourage and expand cooperation between design professionals and parks and recreation professionals.
