Paseo, a 48-story mixed-use tower rising on Rainey Street in downtown Austin, has officially topped out. The development team celebrated the achievement with a traditional “topping out” ceremony, marking the completion of the building’s structural height. This milestone comes after more than a year of construction efforts by hundreds of professionals since breaking ground in early 2023.

Paseo stands out for its commitment to enhancing the public realm. The ground floor features an activated urban paseo, improving pedestrian access and connecting the streetscape to the surrounding district. Additionally, the 11th-floor public roof deck offers stunning downtown views. In line with Austin’s dedication to preserving nature and history, the design preserves heritage trees and incorporates existing bungalows. Collaboration with city arborists led to innovative streetscape solutions, including increased soil volume for street trees and a native planting palette that reflects the area’s riparian zone.
