Austin Design Week – Sketching with TBG

Last month, TBG took part in Austin Design Week!

For those unfamiliar with the effort, Austin Design Week celebrates Austin’s creative community (visual, interactive, web and mobile, product, industrial, architectural, fashion and civic design) through a week of free workshops, talks, studio tours and events.

This year, two TBGers led an interactive sketch session atop the Central Library’s roof garden, where attendees learned how to draw space by perceiving and representing the physical environment around us. We were inspired to lead this session because we believe hand drawing is a critical part of the landscape architecture and design world – and the TBG Austin office regularly sketches together bi-weekly over lunch.
