Chaochen Fan

Chaochen is from Wenzhou, a historic city on the southeast coast of China. One of her favorite spots is Shuomen, a revitalized commercial street where she and her friends spent weekends playing board games, chatting over drinks, and exploring shops tucked into Ming- and Qing-era buildings. She also has a passion for musicals and wrote two scripts while studying in Taiwan. A favorite performance was Sleep No More, an immersive retelling of Shakespeare’s Scottish tragedy through a dark, cinematic lens.
