Grand Opening of Trinity Falls Playground: A New Community Gem
On June 1st, the Trinity Falls community came together for a day of celebration and achievement as we marked the grand opening of the Trinity Falls Playground. This event was held in conjunction with the communities annual 5k run, adding an extra layer of excitement and community spirit to the occasion.
The Culmination of a Vision
The opening of the Trinity Falls Playground signifies the completion of the final phase of our expansive 6-acre amenity center project. Designed by the talented team at TBG, the playground is a complete custom creation that promises endless fun and adventure for children of all ages. Every aspect of the playground has been carefully considered and meticulously crafted, ensuring a safe, engaging, and imaginative environment for our young residents.
The design concept for the playground draws inspiration from the Elm Fork of the Trinity River that runs through the site. Within the design, you’ll find patterns and representations of tree rings and ripples of water, emulating the subtle forms we see in nature. The playground is surrounded by a natural wildflower and butterfly garden, designed to spark interest in the natural environment and serve as a pollinator habitat. This thoughtful integration of nature not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also provides educational opportunities for children and adults alike.
The Trinity Falls amenity center is more than just a playground. It also features a stunning lagoon pool that beckons for a refreshing dip, a sprawling “back yard” ideal for hosting community events, a welcoming “front yard,” and a lively food truck alley that will satisfy any craving. This amenity center is designed to be a hub of activity, relaxation, and community connection.
A Collaborative Effort
The success of this project is a testament to the power of collaboration. TBG worked hand in hand with Johnson Development Corp., who brought their expertise and vision to the table. Larson Pedigo provided the architectural brilliance, while Kimley Horn handled the civil engineering with precision. Additionally, we collaborated with Green Door Studio, a local landscape architectural design firm that designed the adjacent B.B. Owen Park systems. This project stands as an epic example of master planning and teamwork, with every detail thoughtfully executed.

As we look ahead, we are excited about the endless possibilities that the Trinity Falls Playground and amenity center will bring. This project is not just an investment in infrastructure; it is an investment in the community’s future.
