For the Texas Mutual headquarters, Studio8 Architects and landscape architect TBG Partners played off their client’s desire to create a healthy workplace by bringing elements of nature inside with a moss wall at the entrance and large windows overlooking the park. A big courtyard in the back and the outdoor terrace are dotted with trees, planters, oversized conference tables and wood benches — not to mention Wi-Fi access encouraging employees to collaborate and meet outside.

“Really being in this neighborhood, that’s one of the things to do, to be outside,” said Matt Dawson with TBG Partners. “It’s a great outdoor space so we wanted to embrace that.”
