In the heart of Uptown Dallas, a beloved local landmark has been given new life. Once known as The Quadrangle, this five-acre site—originally built in 1966 as one of Dallas’ first mixed-use developments has been reimagined as The Quad, a walkable destination that blends work, leisure, and community in a distinctly human way. By emphasizing scale, texture, and outdoor comfort, the design invites people to engage with the environment rather than simply pass through it – encouraging moments of connection across shared plazas, shaded seating areas, and lush plantings that soften the urban edge.

Rooted in the legacy of The Quadrangle, The Quad redefines what it means to live, work, and connect in Uptown Dallas. Designed around walkability and community, it’s a place where everyday life unfolds outdoors. Now, its vibrancy is shining even brighter with Mamani earning a Michelin Star just eight weeks after opening at The Quad.

More than a redevelopment, The Quad is a return to what made the site so beloved: an atmosphere of curiosity, conversation, and shared experience. And now, renewed vitality is being recognized at the highest culinary level. Just a short walk from the Katy Trail, this reimagined mixed-use destination strengthens Uptown’s ties to the larger city fabric while celebrating the legacy of The Quadrangle, one of Dallas’s original icons of walkable urbanism.

Congratulations to the Mamani team on this extraordinary achievement and to everyone who helped make The Quad a model for modern urban life in Dallas!
